International Circulation: In recent years， how has the AHA cooperated with China in the field of resuscitation， quality care， community first aid and CPR training? What has been achieved?

　　Dr Meiners: We have had a longstanding cooperative agreement between China and the American Heart Association that spans many years. More recently， we have established relationships with the China Heart Federation as a core member and in the past two days， signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese Confederation of County Hospitals. We are very happy to be working with them to expand our CPR resuscitation training to county hospitals throughout China.

　　《国际循环》：近年来，AHA与中国在心肺复苏、患者质量控制、社区急救及CPR培训领域开展了哪些合作，取得了哪些成果？

　　Meiners教授：中国和美国心脏协会有长年合作协议并已实施多年。最近，我们与中国心脏联盟建立了核心成员关系，过去两天中，我们与中国县医院联盟签署了谅解备忘录。我们很高兴能与他们合作，将CPR急救培训推广到中国县医院。

　　International Circulation: As an authority for cardiovascular emergency practices， the AHA has set up training centers in China. Would you please talk about the progress and achievements of the AHA resuscitation education and development program in China?

　　Dr Meiners: We started establishing training centers in China almost eight years ago and today， we have over one hundred hospital training centers that have met the requirements to be an American Heart Association ECC training center. This past year， we have trained 23000 healthcare professionals through those one hundred training centers in basic and advanced cardiovascular life support.

　　Meiners教授：八年前我们在中国建立培训中心。今日，我们已有一百多所达到美国心脏协会ECC培训中心要求的医院培训中心。去年，通过这一百多所培训中心，我们共对23 000名医护人员进行了初级和高级心血管生命支持的培训。

　　International Circulation: What exciting content will the AHA Emergency Cardiovascular Care Life Support Training Workshop at this conference provide for the participants?

　　Dr Meiners: We are very proud that we have sixteen presenters from the United States here， representing the American Heart Association in areas from basic science to clinical science， and we are conducting workshops to train instructors in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support.

　　Meiners教授：非常自豪的是，已经有16位来自美国、代表基础科学和临床科学领域的讲者在此，正在举办高级心脏生命支持培训工作坊和初级心脏生命支持培训工作坊。

　　International Circulation: What do you think about the future prospects for cooperation between the AHA and China in the field of cardiovascular emergency?

　　Dr Meiners: I think the environment for collaboration has never been stronger with the American Heart Association， and with the United States for that matter. There seems to be new-found interest in transferring knowledge and skills from the US to China and from the US learning about the uniqueness of the Chinese population so as to be able to better treat patients around the world.

　　Meiners教授：我觉得中国与美国心脏协会的合作环境从未如此强大。在知识和技能从美国到中国的传播方面、美国学习中国人口独特性方面，关注良多，唯有如此才能更好治疗世界各地患者。
